Don’t you just love trying out new cosmetics and skincare products? I know I do! Especially in spring. Maybe it’s the sense of renewal that comes with spring! At any rate, I received many skincare goodies the past few weeks, so here’s a short review of my favourites for this time of year.

Darphin Serums

Practically any Darphin serum is fantastic, but I’m particularly in love with the Illuminating Oil Serum from the Lumiére Essentielle series. I use it nightly and every morning when I wake up my skin feels smooth like a baby’s.  So far it’s the best serum I’ve used, even better than the much advertised Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

The second best serum by Darphin is the Perfecting Smoothing Serum.  This one is part of the Ideal Resource series and makes the skin feel fresh and look as if you get your eight hours of sleep every night.

The Garden of Panthenols lipsticks

If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably already seen the relate unboxing videos in my stories about the BeautyTestBox subscription cosmetics. That’s how I tried the lipsticks of Greek brand Garden of Panthenols.  They all have great quality and you’ll find them in many beautiful colours.

Galenic Secret D’Excellence Crème

Another big discovery I did last month, was this fab anti-ageing face cream by Galenic. I use it daily and I’m in love! It’s texture is really fine and luxurious. Moreover, the Secret d’Excellence Cream does deliver what it promises. It contains that almost magical ingredient, hyaluronic acid, which works wonders to erase first lines of ageing.

HealthAid’s HyaluroVit capsules

Speaking of hyaluronic acid, what is even better than a cream with hyaluronic acid is of course, hyaluronic acid capsules. Beauty literally from within! I’ve been taking the HyaluroVit by HealthAid capsules daily for the past couple of weeks and my friends and family comment often how glowing my skin is. I guess they’re working then!

Philab Prevent First Lines Cream

I hadn’t heard of Philab before discovering it in the BeautyTestBox cosmetics subscription box. Turns out, this is a truly luxurious brand, offering visible results and made of the most exclusive quality ingredients. More specifically, this cream addresses the needs of women over 30, and contains the aforementioned miracle ingredient, i.e. hyaluronic acid. In addition, Philab’s Prevent First Lines cream also contains stem cells of a rare variety of Swiss apples. From what I’ve read on their website, they also work to make wrinkles disappear, like hyaluronic acid.

Trendy “black” toothpastes

Initially I was unsure about the new black toothpastes. Turns out, they’re not bad at all! In face, once you get past the slight shock of the black foam produced when brushing your teeth with them, you’ll be rewarded with a brighter, whiter smile. From the very first use in fact!

Two of my current favourites are Ecodenta which I found at BeautyTestBox and the other is Curaprox, which you can find at

Garnier SkinActive Face Masks

And finally, these simply amazing sachet face masks by Garnier! Each one of them has a different “personality” and is meant to do a different job on your skin. There are masks for dry skin (e.g. Honey Mask), dehydrated skin (Aqua Mask), mixed and oily skin (Kaolin Mask), or for making any skin type glow, such as the Juicy Mask. My personal favourite though is Volcano Mask. It is a deep pore cleansing mask that contains real volcanic stone and clay. In just three (rather warm!) minutes, my pores practically disappeared. Talking about “wow” results!

Have you used any of these products before? I’d love to hear about your experience if you have, so feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
